We are a small family farm operating on 7 acres. We feel really passionately about providing healthy nutritious food to the people around us and establishing a local food system that is sustainable. Small scale chemical free farming supports twice as much biodiversity as conventional farming. Our approach to growing is holistic and soil health is central to how we operate. Food is key to our health and healthy soil is key to nutritious food. We integrate hedgerows, trees, wildflowers, and ponds to support wildlife into our growing system. This type of farming is considered “beyond organic”.
We employ some local people. Currently we are supporting ourselves and another family (who work with us). We also work with other organic growers in the county. In addition we are involved in a social farming pilot project, which sees people with additional needs spend time joining in farm activities.
We grow a variety of vegetables and fruit using no chemicals. We are in organic conversion. Our produce is seasonal and varies greatly depending on time of year. We have produce growing year around.
