Our Story

After travelling/working around the world I decided to move back to the family farm on the wild atlantic coast in Belmullet. It was always in the back of my mind to work the land and while travelling I took a big interest in organic farming, food and the environment. The first thing I did was to convert the farm to organic buy 2 dexter cows and 10 Lleyn ewes. We know farm 75 acres with 16 Dexters, 35 ewes, 2 sows, 40 layers and seasonal produce of broilers for the table and Norfolk black and Bronze turkeys for the christmas market. The main emphasis on the farm is happy and healthy animals, building a healthy soil, biodiversity and making the farm a havan for wildlife. We have planted hedgerows, trees and started a small apple and nut orchard. This has proved the most difficult as the apple and nut trees are not built for the wild atlantic like the Dexters and Lleyn sheep.

How we Farm

We use a mixture of permaculture, organic and regenerative agriculture. We encourage biodiversity by the planting of trees and hedgerows, reseeding with speicies rich grasses, birdboxes and wildflowers. We dont harvest our winter fodder until August as not to disturb nexting birds and other wildlife.

Find our Fair Food

We can deliver to most areas of Mayo and also have a market stall at Westport country market every thursday.
We do a monthly delivery to Dublin and can arrange stops along the N5, M4 and M6 N60 on the way home.
We also deliver the turkeys along the same route.
